Hi, my name is Heather Louise and I am a professional & published photographer from Nottinghamshire, UK.
I started my journey at the age of 18 when I studied fashion design and quickly realised it was the visual side of fashion I loved rather than the design side. When I qualified I bought my first DSLR and started shooting self portraits.
I am 100% self taught & I believe this is what gives my work the edge it has. I have worked hard to learn everything myself through trial and error and practicing my skills.
My work was first published in June 2009 when one of my popular self portraits was featured in Practical Photography Magazine meaning people all over the world would see my work. It was a great feeling! Since then I have also had features in What Digital Camera Magazine, Dot. Dot. Dot Magazine, NeverLazy Magazine, and recently I was commissioned to shoot a cover for a book by Harper Collins New York, my greatest achievement to date!
With my work I aim to capture the beauty of people, the natural moments as well as the posed.
